Our full staffing team is ready to assist during client stays. Complete team includes Security, Gardeners, Housekeeping Attendants, Food & Beverage Attendants, Private Chef and the Management Team.
Our property offers an extensive range of luxury amenities, including a main building with a professional kitchen, dining room, living room, outdoor cinema, pool house, and terrace. The property also features a climate-controlled wine cellar, a state-of-the-art sport center with tennis and squash courts, a fitness and art room, and a comprehensive spa and wellness center offering massage therapies, facial and body treatments, and beauty services. Additionally, guests can enjoy an infinity pool, landscaped gardens, yoga deck, golf green, petanque court, and private outdoor lounges. Our property is designed to offer a very private and secluded experience. Additionally, our staff is trained to be discreet and respectful of your privacy, only entering the villa upon request or during scheduled services. For added peace of mind, we have advanced security personnel, surveillance and gated access, ensuring that your stay is both secure and private.
We offer comprehensive pick-up and drop-off services for your convenience. This includes transportation to and from the airport and pier, ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience. Additionally, we can arrange chauffeur services for you to explore and travel around the island comfortably.
There is a minimum stay requirement which varies depending on the season. During peak seasons, such as holidays and summer months, a longer minimum stay may be required (3-5 nights). Conversely, during off-peak times, the minimum stay requirement is shorter (2-3nights). To get the specific details for your desired dates and full property rental minimum nights, please inquire with our booking manager.
Check-in is at 15:00pm and check-out at 12:00pm mid-day. If you would like to arrange a late check-in or late check-out, please contact us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.
We offer a dedicated concierge service to enhance any type of booking or stay. Our concierge team is available to assist you with your requests.
We have 24/7 security personnel on-site to ensure your safety at all times. The entire property is gated, providing an added layer of protection. Additionally, we have CCTV surveillance throughout the premises to monitor activity. For extra peace of mind, we maintain a direct communication line with the local tourist police chief, ensuring quick assistance if needed. Your safety and security are our top priorities.
It is possible to host events or parties at Shankara, but we ask that you inquire with our property manager to review your request. Full property rental is required to host a party or special event, as other inquiries may not be possible due to the rental periods of other guests. We need to ensure that any planned event complies with our policies and does not disrupt other guests or neighbors.
Please provide details about your event, including the number of guests and any special requirements, so we can assist you in making the necessary arrangements. Additional fees and conditions may apply depending on the nature and size of the event. Note that events will require additional staffing checks, as our in-house staff cannot be used for event purposes.
Our villas can accommodate a variety of bookings:
o Jade Villa’s (standard villa) can accommodate 2 adults
o Saphire Villa’s (deluxe villa) can accommodate 2 adults with 1 child
o Small Master Villa can accommodate 2 adults with 1 child or 3 adults
o Grand Master Villa can accommodate 2 adults with 1 child or 3 adults
*an additional extra bed placement is possible (subject to availability)
Total capacity of a full property rental is approximately 20 persons (+/-).
Shankara offers a well-equipped office space that can be utilized for meetings and virtual conferences. To ensure we can accommodate your specific needs, we advise inquiring in advance. This allows us to make all the necessary arrangements tailored to your requirements, ensuring a seamless and productive experience. Whether you need a space for business meetings, virtual calls, or collaborative sessions, we are here to assist you.
We accept a variety of payment methods to accommodate your needs. These include cash, major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AmericanExpress), bank transfers, and some online payment platforms. Please contact us if you have any specific payment method inquiries or if you need assistance with the payment process.
For Full Property Rental
- Cancellation 90 Days or More Before Arrival:
If you cancel your reservation 90 days or more before the scheduled arrival date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit minus a processing fee.
- Cancellation 60-89 Days Before Arrival:
If you cancel your reservation between 60 and89 days before the scheduled arrival date, 50% of the total rental fee will be forfeited.
- Cancellation Less Than 60Days Before Arrival:
If you cancel your reservation less than 60 days before the scheduled arrival date, the full rental fee will be forfeited.
- No Show or Early Departure:
If you do not arrive for your reservation or if you decide to depart before your scheduled departure date, no refunds will be provided.
For Single Villa Unit Rental
- Cancellation 60 Days or More Before Arrival:
If you cancel your reservation 60 days or more before the scheduled arrival date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit minus a processing fee.
- Cancellation 30-59 Days Before Arrival:
If you cancel your reservation between 30 and 59 days before the scheduled arrival date, 50% of the total rental fee will be forfeited.
- Cancellation Less Than30 Days Before Arrival:
If you cancel your reservation less than 30days before the scheduled arrival date, the full rental fee will be forfeited.
- No Show or Early Departure:
If you do not arrive for your reservation or if you decide to depart before your scheduled departure date, no refunds will be provided.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, we recommend that guests consider purchasing travel insurance to protect against any unexpected changes to your travel plans. For further details or special cases, please contact our property manager directly.
Your stay includes a variety of amenities and services for ultimate comfort. Some other additional costs linked to your rental are highlighted below:
*Additional services may be booked for special health & wellness treatments, food & beverage arrangements, in-house services and leisure activities at the property or around the island. Extra in-house services should be paid in cash.*
Shankara Samui rental taxes:
A holiday property rental is governed by the tax regulations of its respective country. Consequently, a service charge of 10% will be added to the nightly rental price of the villa, along with a 7% VAT. Both the service charge and VAT will be included in your invoice and should be paid simultaneously with the villa rental payment. *
Shankara Samui rental deposit:
A deposit is necessary depending on the rental inquiry. This deposit, covers any potential damages or additional charges incurred during your stay which will be returned upon check-out. Guests are still accountable for any damages or breakages to the villa and its property during their rental period. Please inquire with our booking manager for further details.
Property rental payment (Full Rental Property):
Payments can be made via bank transfer. To confirm a reservation, guests must pay a deposit of 50% of the total rental fee to the operating company (Shankara). This deposit must be received to secure the booking.
- The remaining balance is usually due no later than 30 days before the guest's arrival at the villa. If the booking is made within 30 days of rental period, the full rental fee must be paid upfront to secure the rental dates. *
Property rental payment(Single Unit Rental):
Payments can be made via bank transfer. To confirm a reservation, guests must pay a deposit of 50%of the total rental fee to the operating company (Shankara). This deposit must be received to secure the booking.
- The remaining balance is usually due no later than 21 days before the guest's arrival at the villa. If the booking is made within 21 days of rental period, the full rental fee must be paid upfront to secure the rental dates.*
Payment to the third party for services:
You may wish to set out on personal adventures in or around the island. Shankara will not be responsible for the services of any other companies on the Island that were not arranged through Shankara Concierge services. We could only provide recommendations for specific companies, tours and services unless booking excursions or tours with us in-house.
While Shankara offers insurance coverage for our guests during their stay, we strongly recommend that guests also secure their own travel insurance prior to arrival. This ensures comprehensive protection for any unforeseen circumstances that might arise during your trip, providing you with additional peace of mind and security. Our in-house insurance covers certain aspects of your stay, but personal travel insurance will offer more extensive coverage tailored to your individual needs.
Immediate Danger:
If you are in immediate danger or need urgent medical assistance, dial the local emergency services number immediately >1669 < for police, fire, or medical help.
On-Site Assistance:
Contact our property management team using the emergency contact number provided at check-in. Our team is available 24/7 to assist you with any urgent issues.
Emergency Kit:
Familiarize yourself with the location of the emergency kit and first aid supplies in the villa. These are available for minor injuries and emergencies.
Evacuation Plan:
Review the evacuation plan and safety procedures provided in your welcome packet. Ensure all members of your party are aware of the nearest exits and assembly points.
Non-Urgent Issues:
For non-urgent issues or concerns, please contact our concierge service during regular hours. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.
